World Music Day was celebrated in Don Bosco Music Academy with musical tributes from the staff and students with their magnificent talents at music and the students who completed grade exams were awarded certificates. The inauguration of the Grand piano, around 150 years old added colour to the gaiety event. Fr. Antony Vailattu SDB welcomed the staff, students, past pupil, parents and the music lovers to the event warmly. Rev. Fr. Joyce Thonikuzhiyil SDB, provincial of Sacred Heart Province Bangalore graced the event with his presence and recounted the success stories of the academy and relished its sweet memories while wishing that the music academy will scale new heights in the future. Students enthralled everyone present with their talents. Nidhi S enthralled everyone with her talent at Piano, while Olivia Ann Jijo performed a Western Vocal. Taniya Stine thrilled everyone with her performance with keyboard and Thomson Bobby followed suit using Drums. Aibel Shibu came with a splendid performance with Piano and Marisa James with a Western Vocal. Tara Shyam, a gifted child received a standing ovation for her drums performance. Don Bosco Cultural Center students performed an orchestra and captured everyone’s praises. The music masters of the Academy were felicitated and certificates for the students who passed Trinity College London grade exams were distributed. Rev. Fr. Joyce, provincial inaugurated and blessed a new addition to the music academy, a 150 years old Grand Piano. Academy Director Fr. Jubin Aayila SDB thanked everyone for their presence, help and for the success of the event.
