Gichu, the Pianist is back to India (/back to his homeland) from Scuola Musica Fiesole, Florence – Italy after successfully completing a 2 Year Diploma in Pianoforte under the special tutelage of Professor Enrico Stellini (2017 -2019). A former student of Don Bosco Academy of Music and Fine Arts, Vennala – Kochi, Gichu in fact has a record of having completed his 8th Grade in Piano in a short span of 3 years. He was also then the youngest Piano Instructor at our Institute from 2014 – 2016.
The XI Mozart International Piano Competition held at Frascati (Rome) in the year 2016 saw the nimble fingers of Gichu Joy move with swiftness and rhythm on the Piano keys. The Jury who saw in Gichu an exceptionally talented musical persona, awarded him the fourth position in the Senior Category with 15 contestants from fifteen nations. And one of the Jurors had the following comment to make on him: Gichu would one day be another Zubin Mehta (the internationally renowned conductor of Western Classical Music from India).
The faculty takes active interest in making sure every student individually benefits from each course . Its nice how they share their knowledge and expertise to make students a replica of them talent and skill-wise. As for the infrastructure, anyone who comes to Don Bosco has the same thing to say, that its a universe of its own where you start your day with some drum beats, music, piano, violin, guitar….!!!! Its all so dreamy, its all of worth it.”

Individual attention is given to each student and the teaching is exemplar. There are ample opportunities given by the institute to showcase one’s talents. Don Bosco also builds up the confidence of students and makes them performance ready. The various skills of students are much improved by the training given. The academy is a recommendable choice for music education.

For the past 5 years Don Bosco Center has been a great support to my children in developing their skills, shaping their character and even strengthening their religious faith. They also give you no reason to worry because it’s one of the safest places to send our kids too.. Overall my experience with Don Bosco has been a great one.

DON BOSCO Academy of Music and Fine Arts ….a place of fond memories. …Nidhi joined the music academy at the age of 12. We never knew that the academy and the people over there were going to be a part of our life. Piano teacher Antony Alesh influenced her so that she never doubted in opting a higher study in what she loved. Thank you sir for being there to guide her..During her 6 year long relationship with the academy several men of God supported her. All the directors __Fr Raju, Fr. Yashin, Fr.Antony Fr.Jubin and many more motivated and encouraged her to follow her passion. The support and help of Fr. Ignatius is one of its kind. Without this beautiful place we wouldn’t have reached that far..that long. Thank you, Don Bosco, for the academic support and the everlasting friendship. This was my stepping stone.. Thank you
