A percussion instrument is a musical instrument that is sounded by being struck or scraped by a beater; struck, scraped or rubbed by hand; or struck against another similar instrument. The percussion family is believed to include the oldest musical instruments, following the human voice. It's not easy to be a percussionist because it takes a lot of practice to hit an instrument with the right amount of strength, in the right place and at the right time. The common percussion instruments that are trained here in the Academy are the following: Drums, Thabala, Mruthangam, and Chenda. However for Drums we follow the syllabus of Trinity College, London and prepare them well for the grade examinations.

The faculty takes active interest in making sure every student individually benefits from each course . Its nice how they share their knowledge and expertise to make students a replica of them talent and skill-wise. DON BOSCO Academy of Music and Fine Arts ….a place of fond memories. …Nidhi joined the music academy at the age of 12. We never knew that the academy and the people over there were going to be a part of our life. Piano teacher Antony Alesh influenced her so that she never doubted in opting a higher study in what she loved. Thank you sir for being there to guide her..During her 6 year long relationship with the academy several men of God supported her. All the directors __Fr Raju, Fr.
